Brighton Biennale 2022: “Emerging Programmes*”
“The O-SSD and the Near Futurists Alliance are collaborating on a commission for the (speculative) Brighton Biennale June 2022. Titled 'Emerging Programmes' the biennale will exhibit spectacular immersive probable futures; a series of future studies in a crusade for policy change.
The projects harness collective research into in/justice and highlight through research-led speculative spatial design projects, the protopian near futures.
*An “emerging programme” is one that does not yet fully exist ... a version of the every day activities for which our spaces are designed to enable, which is now changing.... we begin our speculations with an observation of human life.
